WYSIWYG and line breaks

Hello,
When switching between WYSIWYG and HTML editors. It strips all the line breaks. (I think they are called this way... if not, the simbols that end the line and start new one...).
As a result an HTML code looks awfull as in HTML editor mode as in HTML Source of Article...
I am interested if it is possible to disable this feature, so it would leave line breaks, if of cource it will not damage anything...
I would be very thankfull for any help you can provide.

your questions are not stupid...

its not possible to change the behavior...
its not spaw its the internet explorer...
